It is officially strawberry season! We stopped by our favorite farm today to grab a just-picked flat of nature’s candy, still cold from the morning fog in the Petaluma wind gap. Off to the kitchen to work on creating a dessert to showcase these juicy, sweet, bright red beauties.

This week we are planting our thyme garden to supply our needs for the season ahead. We use both fresh and house-dried thyme to flavor everything from our roasted vegetables to spice rubs and agua frescas. Our favorite thyme varieties are culinary, English, silver, yellow transparent, creeping, Archer’s Gold, lemon and lime.
