Guggleman: The Cookie preferred by Rock Stars

These delicacies, born from the most unusual of ingredients are truly greater than the sum of their parts. Sometimes referred to as ‘compost’ cookies, our version (one that has been tweaked, remodeled and perfected over years of trials) holds nothing back in regards to their debaucherous innards. The treat is named in honor of the infamous Cookie Guggleman Flek of ‘BEST IN SHOW’ movie fame. She was a colorful character to say the least, one who quite obviously ‘got around’; and so too, these round orbs of sugar and spice can be quite trashy (according to the often changing list of ingredients). Nevertheless, the Guggleman comes out every year in the dead heat of summer to make appearances at many of the best Northern California music festivals (as many as she can handle anyway). The list of stars that have gorged on this ferocious treat is long.

Take a look at the pile of ingredients above. Keep in mind this is but a fraction of what goes into a Googleman…

We make Gugglemans in very large batches and it takes the better part of a day to complete each. Potato chips are an important ingredient in these cookies but so are pretzels, milk chocolate discs, nuts, graham crackers, butterscotch chips, almonds and vanilla. A few different types of sugars, some flours and oats.

Baked to perfection, the Guggleman is a cookie that can not be denied by anyone she comes into contact with. Most will want many more to go, sneaking her off in napkins and makeshift togo containers. If you are lucky enough to come across a Guggleman this summer or next be sure to grab one while you can. We’ve often heard they make a great rock star breakfast…
